Renowned Kathawachak and Spiritual Guru Premanand Maharaj or Premanand Govind Sharan was born in a small village near Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh. He was born in the family of Shri Shambhu Pandey and Rama Devi as the Aniruddh Kumar Pandey. Young Aniruddh Kumar was interested in spiritual activity in his childhood and left home at the age of 13 years and reached Vrindavan. He left his ancestral home in search of spiritual knowledge. In the process of entering Sanyasa, he was renamed the Anadswaroop Brahmachari.
Later he earned the teaching of Mahakvya and once again renamed as Swami Anand Ashram. He earned the teaching of Vedas and the teaching of Lord Krishna while he was meditating on the bank of the river Ganga. He also started giving spiritual teachings on the banks of the river Ganga. Soon he became one of the famous spiritual speakers.
He earned deep knowledge of Rasa Leela in Vrindavanatn at the request of a saint by attending the event the next day. Premanand Govind Sharan (प्रेमानंद महाराज) gained more fame for his spiritual teaching in Banaras and Vrindavan.
