The Directorate of Minority Welfare Government of Kerala has launched a new scheme called CH Muhammed Koya Scholarship to provide educational opportunities among female students belonging to minority communities. Therefore, minority communities such as the Muslim Community, Converted Christians, and Latin Catholics can apply for the scholarship. Also, the girl students who have enrolled themselves in the first year of graduation are eligible for the scheme.

Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to the girl student for further studies. However, the main aim of the scheme is to provide opportunities to complete their education without thinking about any financial trouble. Students can apply online before the CH Muhammed Koya scholarship’s last date.
This scholarship aims to promote higher education among the girl students from minority communities such as Muslims, Converted Christians, Latin Catholics, etc. Under the Mohd Koya Scholarship, the stipend will be around ₹13,000 per annum. The Directorate of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala has released the CH Muhammed Koya Scholarship and Registration has been started.
Therefore, the amount provided under the scheme is divided as per the course. The selected girls from Degree Courses will get ₹4,000 whereas girls from PG courses will be awarded ₹5,000 per year. And ₹6,000 will be awarded to Prof. Courses per year and Hostel Stipend will be rewarded with ₹12,000 per year. The scheme offers financial help to Minority Girls of Kerala to complete their higher education. As a result, the Joseph Mundassery Scholarship and DCE Scholarship higher education are also started under minority welfare scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
- Firstly, the candidate must be a resident of Kerala state.
- Secondly, an applicant must be a female candidate only.
- Most importantly, she must belong to a minority community such as Muslim, Converted Christian & Latin Catholic.
- Also, the candidate must have passed the 12th examination with a minimum of 50% of the marks.
- Moreover, an applicant must be a student of a government-added institution or should have secured Admission under the Government quota.
- In Addition, the annual family income should not exceed more than Rs 8 lakhs per annum from all sources.

- First of all, you have to visit the Official Website of the Directorate of Minority Welfare.
- Now click on the Scholarship option on the homepage.

- After that, the registration form will be displayed on your screen.
