The price of the ropeway has been fixed to Rs 177, about 240 devotees traveled by the ropeway on the first day of opening and took the darshan of Surkanda Devi temple. The length of the ropeway is 502 meters which takes about 10 minutes to reach the devotees to the temple, much shorter than the time taken by the devotees walking on foot.
