After the success of the Bigg Boss reality series in Hindi, the concept of the show is introduced in various regional languages of India. In Tamil language Bigg Boss series was first introduced on Star Vijay TV Channel and Disney + Hotstar OTT platform. Recently the grand finale of season 8 was aired on the TV on 19th January 2025. After the departure of the Long-term host Kamal Hasan the show for the last 7 seasons, the 8th season of Bigg Boss Tamil was hosted by renowned Tamil Superstar Vijay Sethupathi.
Muthukumaran Jegatheesan was declared the winner of the season of the Tamil version of Bigg Boss season 8 while Soundariya Nanjundan, a glamorous actress of Tamil Cinema was declared the runner-up of season 8. In the last season of Bigg Boss, a total of 24 contestants both male and female were selected after a hard audience under the bench of judges of Bigg Boss in 2024. The show premiered on 6 Oct 2024 and last on 19th Jan 2025 after a total journey of 106 episodes.
Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 Winner List
As in the previous seasons of the series the venue of the House of Bigg Boss was the EVP Film City, Chennai. Lots of the changes were experienced in the 8th season of Bigg Boss. In the previous season of the series, the male and female were living in the separate part of the house of Big Boss. The house of Bigg Boss as usual had Bed Rooms, A kitchen, Living Rooms, and confession rooms. And in this season the contestant performed various new and tough tasks under the eye of New Host Vijay Sethupathi. Later in the middle of season 8, both male and female contestants were combined inside the thousands and permitted to share the bedroom with their noninterest.
In Season 8 of Bigg Boss Tamil, all 18 contestants were entered into the house on the first day, Later 6 contestants were added to the housemates on the 28th day of the series. Ravindra was the first contestant who was eliminated on the 7 days of season 8 after the first elimination round. A total of 19 contestants were eliminated on the 102nd day of season eight. In the grand finale, Vijay Sethupathi announced the winner and three runner-ups of the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 2024/ 25.
